Mark Thomas

Born in Cardigan, west Wales, Mark started climbing on the sea cliffs of Cemaes Head at a very young age before progressing onto the North Wales scene and the bigger routes in North Pembrokeshire. After moving to the Lake District in 1997 and studying at St.Martins College, Ambleside he climbed extensively in the Lakes in both summer and winter, including many new routes. He soon progressed to harder Scottish winter routes and Alpine summer and winter seasons. Having worked for outdoor development specialists Impact Development Training he later qualified as a full IFMGA Mountain Guide and now lives in St. Gervais, France working between the Alps, the UK and Greenland. Over the years Mark's total dedication to the outdoors and extreme sports has provided a series of impressive records.
